I disagree that forests are important to fight the climate problem.
Glabal warminhis caused by an excess of CO2 in the biosphere, not only today but for the past and coming ages.
Reducing CO2 concentration, to reduce global warming, means keeping away the stored CO2 from entereing the biossphere again for several ages, say 10.
Globalwarming a change proces that takes ages.
But a forest sinks CO2 only for a short time, say 3 to 5 decades, then trees fall down and start to rot. The wood becomes free CO2 again.
Or the wood is harvested, and become packaging material, furniture, or homes.
In all of these ways wood is used, it gets garbage after a decade or several decades when wood is used in a home.
In the end thuis utility wood is burned, and also becomnes free CO2 again.
Only when wood is stored for ages, and kept in good condition, all this time, only then, forests may help fight the climate problem.
But this type of using wood, is not yet done anywhere in the world
Therefore forest do not help to fight the climate problem
What does help is stop using fossile fuel, and change over to sustainable energy, windparks are a good way to do this.
Isolating Buildings and homes is a good way too.
Driving electric vehicles, charged with sustainable energy, is also effective.
A good way to design acceptable windparks is using line like srtructure
And have locals participate in the profits.
The countryside will feed the city, not the fossile energy corporation
