This proves how useless the United Nations is. We are in a mass extinction wave with species getting wiped out and ecosystems destroyed. Poaching for animal body parts, especially for SE Asia and Middle-East destinations, is driving rare species to extinction. Yet, the United nations does nothing. All the UN cares about is pushing to grow the popluation of earth to 10 billion by 2050. By then, all of earth will be paved over.
Where do you get the crazy idea that the UN is pushing to grow human population to 10B? That's silly.
What are the 'feathered' features in the picture?. Are they strips of forest left like corridors?
Deforestation follows a fish-bone pattern in this part of the Amazon. Forests are left as legal forest reserves and borders
