I believe humans use noise as methods of torturing fellow humans, so we are actually torturing marine life with it. There are now cruise ships the size of small towns; as well as the noise being harmful to marine life, the light from these vessels is confusing migratory birds. I fear this important finding will have no impact as long as huge companies are making profit.
