Sadly, unless some "martian" is going to turn up and pay the govts of the world to protect that much ocean, I personally soubt it will happen in the next 2 centuries, let alone 2 years.
The only real thing the worlds govts is interested in is money. They are not happy having enough fresh wholesome food on their plate, a couple of times a day, and fresh water to drink as and when they want it too(I wonder what percentage of the worlds population would be more than happy with that?) Nope, they have to have more. More luxury than they know what to do with.
For what's supposed to be the most intelligent species on this planet, we are also the ones who are least able to live in harmony with our surroundings.
