Forest is one of the important natural resources for development of Nepal. The rate of deforestation is 1.4% during 2000-2005 but this data also lacks the reliability. It is more than this. Not only illegal logging by smugglers is the responsible factor but the government official including the forest minister are seemed as the factor accelerating the rate of deforestation. The poor people and indigenous people are blamed but that is just making the vulnerable people more vulnerable and depressed.
