I work for Sainsbury's supermarket in the UK, and we've just introduced a policy that all our cork closures (for beers and spirits as well as wine) have to be FSC certified from this year.
Providing a commercial motivation to ensure the highest environmental and social custodianship is critical for this valuable and vulnerable region.
Hopefully it won't be long before others follow this lead.
