As God as my witness....I once saw a huge pink and black moth outside a convience store in bermuda hundred Virginia...this is a place just a few miles outside of Hopewell Virginia and Richmond Virginia. The Thing was about 5 inches across and flutttering around the gas pump. It landed in front of me and looked like it might be on the way to dying.

The Chiricahua Mountains are in Arizona a short distance from borders of New Mexico and Mexico where the border jogs south. That place has a lot of power to jog the imagination and cross the boundaries of time and all the things that restrain us. The history of that place is a microcosm of history as much as can be found in one place and a place where I have had the opportunity to walk alone and know I was not alone.

I have no doubt there are other species to be discovered and that they as others in equally vulnerable circumstances deserve our efforts to stabilize climate change in every way we can.

I live in florida and my husband took a photo of a very vibrant pink and yellow moth in the pool area of his work and if it wasen't for the photo I woulden't belive him, it was amazing
