Comments: Universal phone charger to cut e-waste

That's great, but why would it take three years to accomplish? It's not exactly a technological moon shot. Plus PC World reported today that the GSM Association, a global trade group for the mobile communications industry, expects some manufacturers to begin shipping the universal chargers THIS year.
Hmmmm..... It appears the media has some follow-up questions to ask.
I am going to be the first one to buy this charger, I do not know why we have to wait until 2012 though.
