At First, thank you for increase information about Amazonia and the conservation problems, that we are responsable at all. I would like only atempt you about the Brazilian map, that is in the original article. This is wrong: Porto Alegre and Esteio are located in extreme soulth and the site of this studie is in extreme north (the position on map es correct, only the rodway and another cities are wrong).

Yes, Porto Alegre and Esteio are cities in southern Brazil. However, the map refers to cattle ranches located in the Amazon. The names of the cattle ranches are Porto Alegre, Esteio, and Dimona. The map does not refer to the Brazilian cities Porto Alegre and Esteio, only the cattle ranches that are located 80 km north of Manaus, Amazonas.
