I believe that china has depleted there own coast of not only shark's but other fishing species all due to myth power that the shark fin has like all things power cost and the cost is the decimation of a wonderful species china is depleating the world's oceans of all fishing industry soon there will be no sharks in our oceans and as mighty and feared the shark is it is a sad story behind there 400 million year existence they shaped history in our oceans there are estimates that shark population has declined 90%. There is no reason why finning should be so popular it only adds a small amount of any kind of value usually the broth in the soup has more value. Our future generation will look back and see we were barbaric and we know we did it with no conscience.
